The first East Coast Apache Cassandra conference!

The NYC Cassandra User Group, NoSQL NYC, and Big Data NYC are joining with DataStax to present the first Cassandra NYC conference. This is an all day two-track focusing on enterprise use cases as well as the latest developments in Cassandra. The event will be held at the Lighthouse International Conference Center on 59th St.

What's in-store for Cassandra NYC?

We've been reaching out to users in New York, Boston, D.C. Metro, and other East Coast cities to locate some of the most interesting use cases. Most of the presentations will be new, and never before seen.

One of the most popular presentations at this years Cassandra SF was Matt Dennis' Data Modeling workshop. We're happy to announce that Matt will be joining us again for Cassandra NYC. All attendees are encouraged to submit their use cases and data modeling questions in advance, and Matt will pick the most representative to work through with the audience. You can see the video from Matt's Cassandra SF presentation here.

We'll begin to announce additional speakers in the next few days.

What else?

So that you can hit the ground running, we'll be providing continental breakfast and lunch as well as continuous beverage service throughout the day.

We'll also be hosting a post- conference party worthy of NYC. Details coming shortly.

And the 3rd Big Data Drinkup NYC will be held the night before Cassandra NYC. This special edition will be hosted by BigData NYC, The NYC Cassandra User Group, and DataStax.

The party is open to data geeks of all stripes. Whether you're in big data, search, analytics (predictive or otherwise), machine learning, quants....Come join us and share what you're working on.
